Fox News anchor Chris Wallace left for a vacation in Russia after a tense interview with the country’s president, Vladimir Putin.
Wallace sat down with Putin right after the Trump-Putin press conference in Helsinki. The exchange became tense when Wallace pressed Putin about his government’s alleged meddling in the 2016 U.S. election and his reported killing of political opponents.
And when they were done, Wallace headed to Russia for a vacation with his wife.
“I had a few doubts,” Wallace said. “But I figured, why not?”
Wallace said he had not been harassed in any way and had even been recognized by some Russians because of his Putin interview.
